I have already upgraded via debian sid repos to xserver-xorg-video-ati 1:6.7.197-1. Now performing rotation from commandline with xrandr --output --rotate it doesn't crash anymore.
If there are any difference between hardy and sid and I'll also try the packages from hardy. What doesn't work for me is the configuration from xorg.conf. Xorg refuses to start with this config http://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=12129 ** Attachment added: "xorg.conf" http://launchpadlibrarian.net/11118117/xorg.conf -- display rotation crashes system https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/147402 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is the bug contact for Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
