Public bug reported:
I installed 24.04 on a VM under my main Debian server host on 2024.03.17 and
using the daily.
It worked fine.
After upgrade yesterday and after the 2nd re-boot the screen is blank after
login. The screen is okay during re-boot, which I initiaited via an ssh session
(I had installed openssh-server).
So, I re-installed using the 2024.03.22 daily. Same result.
I use VNC for my graphics on my VM's. I used this command to install:
virt-install -n desk-nn -r 8192 \
--disk path=/home/doug/vm/desk-nn.img,bus=virtio,size=50 \
-c noble-desktop-amd64-2024-03-22.iso \
--network bridge=br0,model=virtio,mac=52:54:00:0e:24:04 \
--graphics vnc,listen=0.0.0.0 --noautoconsole -v --vcpus=4
I do see issues with gnome-shell listed in /var/log/syslog, which I'll
post later.
The VM seems to actually be running fine, based on my SSH session.
