Public bug reported:

ubuntu-jeos installs standard with splash activated.

There is an easy workaround:
- disable splash /boot/grub/menu.lst
- remove usplash

But, IMO a server-version should not have splash by default, some
information is hidden but this is not visible for a 'normal' user, only
for an administrator. Also, this is not in par with the normal server
version, where splash is indeed disabled by default.

By removing splash, the following benefit can be achieved:
- show (usefull) information at startup
- further reduce number of packages loaded at default (usplash
+usplash-theme-ubuntu)

The latter is important, because one of the features of jeos is being
lean-and-mean.

** Affects: ubuntu
     Importance: Undecided
         Status: New
