Meanwhile, I created a ppa with the newest version 23.12.1, see https://launchpad.net/~hackie/+archive/ubuntu/anki/
Just packaging a new version seems difficult because the pipeline seems complex (https://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=958853), so I took a different approach and re-packaged the binary distribution. I don't think invalidating this bug is the correct way to react. I think, this is a legitimate issue, as the old version is nearly unusable (because of this: https://bugs.debian.org/cgi- bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=1010900) ** Bug watch added: Debian Bug tracker #958853 https://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=958853 ** Bug watch added: Debian Bug tracker #1010900 https://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=1010900 -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/2051397 Title: There is a newer version To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/anki/+bug/2051397/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
