@deisi , That certainly is something for valid consideration. In my use- case there is no network bridging going on, just to clear that up. The NAS and the client are on the same network (two non-routing switches exist between them), on the same CIDR IP range, same DHCP server involved, same DNS, same internet access. So nothing is really sticking- out for me in that regards that could be relevant for my scenario. But I'm open to even more ideas I had not considered :^) as I really just would love this solved lol.
