Confirmed on HP Pavilion dv6500 with Western Digital WD800BEVS.As stated above , the problem is "solved" by disabling APM , but the Hard disk tends to heat up.It reached a temperature of ~50 Celsius after about 15 minutes of activity.I read on the WD website that ,the heads are not parked on the disk platter , but that should mean the HDD should be capable of a lot of load/unload cycles.Can someone clarify this ?
