Public bug reported: Hi,
On Ubuntu 22.04 LTS on a fresh install: Β - I click on a video Β - It plays (sound + video), but the video is scale horizontally smaller, so it will display a vertical rectangle, when expected a horizontal 4:3 or 16:9 rectangle) so the windows has a lot of black space. Β - If I resize the windows of totem, the video is well rescalled to the new size and have the expected shape, no unexpected black space I'm attaching 2 screenshots: - 1 before manually resize (launch_video_2022-05-10_17-47-21.png) - 1 after resizing a few pixel larger the window (resize_totem_2022-05-10_17-47-51.png) Expected result: no need to resize windows to have the decent scale ProblemType: Bug DistroRelease: Ubuntu 22.04 Package: libgstreamer1.0-0 1.20.1-1 ProcVersionSignature: Ubuntu 5.15.0-27.28-generic 5.15.30 Uname: Linux 5.15.0-27-generic x86_64 NonfreeKernelModules: nvidia_modeset nvidia ApportVersion: 2.20.11-0ubuntu82 Architecture: amd64 CasperMD5CheckResult: pass CurrentDesktop: ubuntu:GNOME Date: Tue May 10 16:42:14 2022 InstallationDate: Installed on 2022-04-29 (11 days ago) InstallationMedia: Ubuntu 22.04 LTS "Jammy Jellyfish" - Release amd64 (20220419) ProcEnviron: Β TERM=xterm-256color Β PATH=(custom, no user) Β XDG_RUNTIME_DIR=<set> Β LANG=fr_FR.UTF-8 Β SHELL=/bin/bash SourcePackage: gstreamer1.0 UpgradeStatus: No upgrade log present (probably fresh install) XorgLog: Error: [Errno 2] Aucun fichier ou dossier de ce type: '/var/log/Xorg.0.log' ** Affects: gstreamer1.0 (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Tags: amd64 apport-bug jammy ** Attachment added: "launch_video_2022-05-10_17-47-21.png" https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1972870/+attachment/5588241/+files/launch_video_2022-05-10_17-47-21.png -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1972870 Title: Video is scalled, resizing windows re-scale it well To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/gstreamer1.0/+bug/1972870/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
