Tried yesterday the alternate CD. It took ages to load, but it seemed to
work, until it reached the point where it tried to detect the PC
hardware. When it reached 75% (or so, I can't remember), it displayed
that it was checking for Floppy Drives, and it just frozed there. I
waited for more than half an hour, but it was dead.

The floppy drive is in working condition (I checked it under WinXP), but
it locked the installation progress.

I tried too some other distros (SuSe, Fedora, Knoppix, PcLinuxOS,
Mandriva, Damn Small Linux), all of them in LiveCD, and worked OK. I'm
really confused...

If I can provide any more info, please, update this bug report. :)
