That really is non-sense. Firefox is open source. Canonical can choose how to build/distribute it.
And as a user I can choose to change that. And I just did, I followed these instructions https://www.omgubuntu.co.uk/2022/04/how-to-install- firefox-deb-apt-ubuntu-22-04 Now I changed back to a deb based version built by Canonical staff and distributed through Canonical infrastructure. And Firefox starts in 5sec instead of 15sec. This bug report was intended to register that performance significantly regressed. What you are stating is that that is a deliberate choice. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1971037 Title: [snap] Firefox starts very slow To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/firefox/+bug/1971037/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
