Public bug reported: Ubuntu used to use the bundled libssh2 copy because libssh2 from the archive is in Universe, and nmap used to be in main.
Debian removed the bundled libssh2 code from nmap[1], and this breaks the Ubuntu build which was relying on it. Since https://code.launchpad.net/~paelzer/ubuntu- seeds/+git/ubuntu/+merge/376744 nmap is in universe, so there is no issue in linking nmap with the external libssh2 now. 1. https://salsa.debian.org/pkg-security-team/nmap/-/commit/6c4e39f6824a979f3ce96f2157477cc30735e07e#adb7f75f79e3bb85eb62912a2904c5d24af878fb ** Affects: nmap (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Assignee: Andreas Hasenack (ahasenack) Status: In Progress -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1970630 Title: FTBFS: no more bundled libssh2 in source dfsg tarball To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/nmap/+bug/1970630/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
