There's honestly not that much to describe.
The second I boot either the 22.04 or 21.10 iso and enter the live session, the 
clock is just missing from the indicator/panel. However, I can still click 
where the clock is supposed to be and then the calendar pops up. However, there 
is no clock shown, just a tiny space where the time is supposed to be.

I even tried disabling and removing it from the panel and then apt
purging the ayatana-indicator-datetime package, and reinstalling, to no
effect.

Enabling the "Show Seconds" option in the indicator control panel, will
show the time, however, it's followed by a bunch of random numbers, e.g.
Hour:Minute:XXXXXXXXXXXXX. Disabling the option, removes the time from
the indicator again.
