@Pär Lidén: I think falling back to USB 1.1 if 2.0 is not bad, but it's not grabbing the problem.
Let's repeat: Same hardware setup in both tests: - Booting Gutsy with the (old) 2.6.17 kernel: USB 2.0 works and speed is fast, perfect - Booting Gutsy with the included 2.6.20 kernel: USB 2.0 doesn't work, removing ehci is a workaround, speed is slow There is no hardware issue. Hardware is totally the same. It's probably the driver that has changed. Maybe the hardware was not 100% compliant but 2.6.17 driver handled this well, don't know. -- ehci_hcd module causes I/O errors in USB 2.0 devices https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/88746 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is the bug contact for Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
