I fully agree with Christoph. Meanwhile, for anyone who is reading this, here 
are the instructions to make konqueror the default file manager--
(quoted from ubotu factoid)
"If you would like to make Konqueror your default file manager again, go to 
Konqueror - Settings menu - Configure Konqueror - File Associations and change 
the association for inode/directory and inode/system_directory to Konqueror at 
the top rather than Dolphin."
