Same issue for me on a new Dell Inspiron 14" laptop on Ubuntu 20.04, kernal version 5.13.0-30-generic.
16 GB DDR, 512 SSD. i7, Intel graphics. Usually I get to the unlock screen and the mouse pointer can be moved, but I can't click on anything and the keyboard doesn't work.
