I've done some more testing on the daily images from today and yesterday. In one sequence I'm able to get correct keyboard throughout the installation. I've tried to illustrate it with this ASCII flow-chart
Welcome --(NOR)-+ | | (ENG) TRY? --- YES --+ | | | TRY INST INST | | | INST FAIL OK | (NOR) | FAIL From welcome screen 1) No language selection, select try ubuntu. From desktop start installation and choose Norwegian 2) Select Norwegian go straight to installation 3) Select Norwegian, select try ubuntu. From desktop start installation and verify Norwegian All installations 3rd party and updates were selected. And were done in vmWare Workstation. I hope this might be of some help in reproducing the situation. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1875062 Title: [20.04] Keyboard layout not enabled immediately during installation when typing username/password To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu-release-notes/+bug/1875062/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
