I have added a comment to make users (who will face a problem despite a fix) aware of idiosyncrasy of handling command line options by thunderbird. I do not expect that Ubuntu team will ship additional wrapper to deal with the issue. Those, who desperately need it working, may write a script that creates a symlink with ".eml" suffix and a desktop file to open "message/rfc822" files using this script. I am afraid that security issues might happen because mozilla soft relies too much on heuristics and does not allow to explicitly express intention through command line options. It is even impossible to ensure that nothing following should be considered as options, remaining arguments are URIs or files ("--" separator for a lot of tools). Anyway the fix is a step forward. At least files having ".eml" suffix may be conveniently viewed. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1861262 Title: Add message/rfc822 to thunderbird.desktop To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/thunderbird/+bug/1861262/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
