Hi Marc, Thanks for forwarding this bug. From the logs it sounds like there is a stray config value 'query_cache_limit=1M' being set, but that's not referenced in the config files that this automated bug filer included in this report.
Could you run this command and post the output here? $ sudo grep -sr query_cache_limit /etc/mysql/ I notice you've upgraded to focal from earlier releases, dating back to 13.10, so I'd guess this parameter was set in an earlier version of mysql and carried forward until it was deprecated. Does that sound right to you, or do you think you manually added that config setting? -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1960739 Title: package mysql-server-8.0 8.0.28-0ubuntu0.20.04.3 failed to install/upgrade: installed mysql-server-8.0 package post-installation script subprocess returned error exit status 1 To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/mysql-8.0/+bug/1960739/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
