Has there been any new information regarding this issue? I too am having issues connecting to a hidden ssid network at my home. I am using WPA Personal with Ubuntu 7.04 Feisty Fawn. It works fine if I turn on my ssid broadcasting, but stops as soon as I turn off my ssid broadcasting. It still doesn't work even if I setup the network manually. One thing I did notice is that if the network is hidden and you attempt to connect to the network manually, even though you enter the network information manually, it places a "null" value for the ssid instead of the actual ssid. Any information/help or a fix would be great.
