After checking how checkbox run fwts and getting feedback from Kent, I think having fwts following the policy set in /sys/power/mem_sleep is a good idea. Defaulting to S3 will cause certification a lot of issues considering all new laptops will only come with support for s2idle. What I'd like to avoid is telling via a checkbox manifest entry which suspend method to use, that won't scale.
