Public bug reported:

Currently Ubuntu fails like

configure.ac:114: error: The m4 macro AX_PROG_BISON has not been
defined. Please install the autoconf-archive package.

https://launchpadlibrarian.net/570128771/buildlog_ubuntu-jammy-
amd64.nbd_1%3A3.23-1_BUILDING.txt.gz

That is fixed in the soon to be synced 1:3.23-2

But even then this FTBFSes by

https://buildd.debian.org/status/fetch.php?pkg=nbd&arch=amd64&ver=1%3A3.23-2&stamp=1637573688&raw=0

configure.ac: installing './ylwrap'
configure.ac:371: error: required file 'man/nbd-client.8.sh.in' not found
configure.ac:371: error: required file 'man/nbd-server.5.sh.in' not found
configure.ac:371: error: required file 'man/nbd-server.1.sh.in' not found

configure.ac:371: error: required file 'man/nbdtab.5.sh.in' not found
autoreconf: error: automake failed with exit status: 1

That is introduced upstream by
https://github.com/NetworkBlockDevice/nbd/commit/4da5f85c85814b18e941f877ed4d1cda4247ab2a

It affects Debian and Ubuntu at the moment.
