Public bug reported:

usb-modeswitch won't recognize my FRITZ!WLAN AC 860 wifi adapter
properly and it usually takes between 4 and 6 minutes for the switch
from the CD-ROM mode to the adapter mode to happen. I'm using Ubuntu
20.04.3 and usb-modeswitch 2.5.2.
