Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: displayconfig-gtk

since 2 or 3 days, I was not able to access my session;
I successfully authenticated in GDM, and I was ablre to see the default
background color (the werido white brown); but nothing happened afterward. and
this problem was on all users of my computer.
After looking at .xsession-errors; I discovered today the script
/etc/X11/Xsession.d/40guidance-displayconfig was responsible of this problem
when I move out of this folder my session worked.

Too bad that GDM cleaned up .xsession-errors; I cannot give you the
error reported;

Something weird is that my other laptop which is using hardy as well was
not affected by this bug.

** Affects: displayconfig-gtk (Ubuntu)
