sorry to have bothered you during those years ... so long ago. I'm now on Ubuntu 21.10 and everything seems to be working fine. The problem reported in early 2021 with .. Ubuntu software .. seems to have been corrected. thank you again for all you do to achieve a wonderful operating system ..... best regards ...
