I have a Toshiba P105-6024 with this Sound Card. The application of the patch solved the sound problem. BUT.... the screen brightness is out of control. It only wants to stay at full capacity. Too bright actually. I installed some toshiba utility packages that come with Ubuntu 7.10 but noway. Even if I low down the brightness it comes back to full capacity. does anybody knows how to solve that issue. I have tried the sound patch with three ubuntu 7.10 distros: Edubuntu, Geubuntu and Linux Mint. With all of them the patch solved the problem. But in all of them the screen brightness is out of control.
