I would like to confirm this behavior. Using system-config-printer to install an IPP print queue on my client (fresh Gutsy install) creates a URI using the server's (upgraded Feisty to Gutsy) hostname. Using this URI fails to print. Substituting the IP address for the hostnames corrects printing issues.
Using the "host" command on the client to resolve the server's IP address works fine. Can I provide any troubleshooting documents? -- IPP Printing fails if server is identified by name rather than address https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/174874 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is the bug contact for Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
