I can confirm that I am experiencing this issue now with my Ubuntu Hirsute installation in VirtualBox. I just ran all package updates it after not using this VM for a while. After this I noticed it, because I wanted to do root access actions using GNOME Nautilus.
Not so long ago I had this same issue under XFCE on Arch Linux too, but that one got eventually fixed by updates, most likely including GVFS or something related. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1935734 Title: nautilus can't open folder as root To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/nautilus/+bug/1935734/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
