Bas, you also need to uninstall gnome-cups-icon. Then you install system-config-printer (if not done yet). The icon applet coming with system-config-printer now works the same way as the old gnome-cups-icon and system-config-printer contains everything needed, especially the job viewer application.
Gnome-cups-manager is not maintained any more. So please check with system-config-printer and report a bug on system-config-printer if something is not working like expected. ** Changed in: gnome-cups-manager (Ubuntu) Status: Confirmed => Won't Fix -- gnome-cups-icon ("Printing Notification Icon") should not have a visible menu entry by default https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/125484 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is the bug contact for Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
