Hello Steve and thanks for your bug report. It seems that dovecot is
failing to start because a systemd mount unit has been masked:

  Failed to restart dovecot.service: Unit var.mount is masked.

I think this can only be the result of manually masking the unit via
`systemctl mask`. In this case the problem you reported here is a local
configuration issue rather than a bug in Ubuntu. You can get help for
these kind of issues in the Ubuntu Community Support channels [1].

I'm marking this bug report as Incomplete for the moment. If you agree
with my reasoning here please change the bug status to Invalid,
otherwise please provide more details explaining why you believe this is
a bug in Ubuntu rather than a problem specific to your system a change
the bug status back to New, we'll look at it again. Thanks!
