Oh, I simply meant using the 'ip' command, like (in my example):
$ ip a | grep enP1
6: enP1p0s0: <BROADCAST,MULTICAST,UP,LOWER_UP> mtu 1500 qdisc mq state UP group
default qlen 1000

$ sudo ip link add link enP1p0s0 name enP1p0s0.1234 type vlan id 1234

$ sudo ip addr add 192.168.1.201/24 dev enP1p0s0
$ sudo ip addr add 192.168.1.202/24 dev enP1p0s0.1234

$ sudo ip link set dev enP1p0s0 up
$ sudo ip link set dev enP1p0s0.1234 up

$ ip a
