Created attachment 9223784 562977-progressmeter-statusbar.patch This approach uses our colours to paint the progressmeter to also better fit with our themes. Or do you propose a different colour than --primary?
For the indeterminate state I used the approach FX is using on the download panel. I hope this helps with the CPU usage.
