I have a Latitude D630 so I don't know if it applies to you. What I did is to use the options snd-hda-intel model=5stack line in the /etc/modprobe.d/alsa-base file.
I still have the problem of the volume going automatically up but my microphone is functioning ok. I still did not manage to make my soundcard fully functional without bugs.
