I don't know where/how but this was completed

 libxcrypt | 1:2.4-1build1 | precise/universe | source
 libxcrypt | 1:2.4-3ubuntu2 | trusty/universe | source
 libxcrypt | 1:2.4-3.1 | xenial/universe | source
 libxcrypt | 1:2.4-4 | bionic/universe | source
 libxcrypt | 1:4.4.10-10ubuntu4 | focal | source
 libxcrypt | 1:4.4.16-1ubuntu1 | groovy | source
 libxcrypt | 1:4.4.17-1ubuntu3 | hirsute | source
 libxcrypt | 1:4.4.17-1ubuntu3 | impish | source

And actually it seems it always was in main.

For now I'll mark this Fix Released - please re-open if there is an
underlying issue we miss.
