- When on Hirsute with the new Samsung provided exfat support, gnome-disks
- can't create new exfat partitions due to being hardcoded to use the old
- mkexfatfs program from the exfat-utils package. Instead of the new
- mkfs.exfat from the exfatprogs package.

+ - connect a device to format of your choice
+ - $ apt install exfatprogs
+ - start gnome-disks
+ - select the device or partition to format
+ - select other -> exfat as filesystem type
+ - confirm the format
+ -> the device should get formatted without error
