Public bug reported: After the last systemd update 245.4-ubuntu3.6 on 20.04 focal, I discovered I couldn't use .local network names anymore. All returning Name or service unknown. Nothing explicitly showing a problem in avahi-deamon systemd logs, no firewall activated, and no changes done to /etc/nsswitch.conf.
After noticing those packages just had been updated, I downgraded systemd to 245.4-ubuntu3 through aptitude and it works again. So I'm pretty sure something's wrong with last package from focal-updates of libnss-mymachines. ** Affects: systemd (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1925761 Title: libnns-mymachines update breaks local mdns discovery To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/systemd/+bug/1925761/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
