Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better.
Bug reporting is mostly about finding & fixing problems thus preventing future users from hitting the same bug. I suspect a Support site would be more appropriate, eg. https://answers.launchpad.net/ubuntu. You can also find help with your problem in the support forum of your local Ubuntu community http://loco.ubuntu.com/ or asking at https://askubuntu.com or https://ubuntuforums.org, or for more support options please look at https://discourse.ubuntu.com/t/community-support/709 The error message would have suggested using `ppa-purge` to remove all 3rd party packages and not just the PPA sources; I looked and I can see 3rd party packages conflicting with the Ubuntu packages (eg. package(s) from https://launchpad.net/~oibaf/+ppa-packages but that may not be all) I've marked this as incomplete; as I found evidence of 3rd party (PPA) packages. If you believe I'm in error, please leave a comment, and change the status back to "New" ** Changed in: ubuntu-release-upgrader (Ubuntu) Status: New => Incomplete -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1921694 Title: System Upgrade from Bionic to Focal not possible To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/ubuntu-release-upgrader/+bug/1921694/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
