Public bug reported:

I use Ubuntu as a Hyper-V virtual machine in my latest Windows 10
machine (version 20H2).

Since the last kernel update to version 5.4.0-66-generic the virtual
machine does not boot anymore. It freezes in a black screen and becomes
unresponsive.

To successfully boot I have to force the system to boot with a previous
kernel (I tested 5.4.0-65-generic and 5.4.0-62-generic). Forcing GRUB to
use one of these previous kernels then the virtual machine boots
successfully and the system is fully operational.

If you need any further information to reproduce please let me know.

Thanks and regards.
