Hi Leann, I have the same problem as Aaron. I try to do like you wrote before: I installed new kernel image, and(I decided by myself) to do the apgrade of a lot of packages. The result it was no so good, I mean the hibernate was working properly but I got this problems:
1. I could not finish the upgrade because the synaptic was unable to find python-brlapi. 2. Wireless connection was not working. 3. I got 4/5 system crash. 4. My laptop seems working slowly, also when I removed the new kernel image and reboot with the old one. Anyway thank you for your tip, I hope my experience can help your work.
