Thank you for reporting this bug, and helping to make Lubuntu better.
I can only comment, your exploration (and testing) of the system is
further than my own, as I tend to concentrate on things I use, and think
I'd use for various use-cases I can imagine, so well done & thank you.
I had a quick play of this on my hirsute system, and behavior is as you
say, however I don't know what should happen (it isn't what I'd expect
from the selection dialogs though).
guiverc@d960-ubu2:~$ apt-cache policy qterminal
qterminal:
Installed: 0.16.1-1ubuntu1
*** 0.16.1-1ubuntu1 500
500 http://archive.ubuntu.com/ubuntu hirsute/universe amd64 Packages
I also had a play on a Debian Bullseye box, and got the same behavior
guiverc@d960-ubu2:~$ ssh 192.168.15.225 -C 'apt-cache policy qterminal'
qterminal:
Installed: 0.16.1-1
*** 0.16.1-1 500
500 http://deb.debian.org/debian testing/main amd64 Packages
Whatever is supposed to happen, it occurs identically in Lubuntu as it
does in Debian Bullseye with the ~same version in my short testing.
I didn't test in opensuse tumbleweed, however will on request if
helpful, but I suspect it'll be the same.
