Public bug reported: Networkmanager upstream has already created a patch to fix this bug, which they backported to nm 1.26, which Groovy uses.
The upstream fix can be found here- https://gitlab.freedesktop.org/NetworkManager/NetworkManager/-/commit/5454681ab76ee02cfa85d65e29005b974efb3c52 This, as far as I can tell, meets the guidelines for ubuntu's SRU policy. In addition, given that Hirsute Hippo will also be using nm 1.26, this fix will have a broader impact than just groovy.
