Public bug reported: Description: Ubuntu 20.04.2 LTS Release: 20.04
Expected install process to complete without incident. Machine (Lenovo Thinkpad Edge E325, Type: 1297-2SG) has previously been exposed to Ubuntu 12.04, and 14.04 (primarily LXDE and XFCE) and Fedora 32 and 33 (Gnome, KDE) without problem. Fatal error occurred during fresh install on hardware. Minimal install selected, with updates and drivers etc. and automatic partitioning (did also fail with manual partitioning).
