Public bug reported: As of in gutsy (7.10) compiz is standard and people will use, like me, the desktop as transparent terminal as explained in http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?p=3254093.
It works very pleasant to have my terminal in the 'background'. But I miss a shadow under my font so I can read all text in my terminal without hurting my eyes. >From 2005 there is a patch available on the libvte so can someone please apply >this? It will be a major improvement in (read/use)ability. http://bugzilla.gnome.org/attachment.cgi?id=81301&action=diff ** Affects: vte (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- text shadow on transparent gnome-terminal https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/175862 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is the bug contact for Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
