Hi, I confirm that lttng-modules 2.12.2-1ubuntu1~20.04.1 can be built and loaded on Focal with linux 5.4 and linux-hwe 5.8.
$ dkms status lttng-modules, 2.12.2, 5.4.0-59-generic, x86_64: installed lttng-modules, 2.12.2, 5.8.0-34-generic, x86_64: installed I also smoke-tested the modules by running some traces with both kernels.
