Hello Andreas and thanks for this bug report. I can reproduce the issue
you describe on Focal and Hirsute. A very similar command is given as an
example in pmt-ehd's manpage (pmt-ehd(8), not installed by libpam-mount-
bin but available in the source package, see [1]).

I'm marking this bug as Triaged and subscribing the Ubuntu Server Team
to it.
