I have just realized that several directories in root directory are just links to another /usr directories. That means to me the last update script went wrong and not successfully updates my system. (see attached directories.txt) What shall I do? I have several software installed and a lot of my documents & configuration files can be found in my /system directories. I would like to correct the present system not reinstall it from the scratch. Please advise something. Rigth after a system update via Apt-get at the next boot the / partition /dev/sda2 was checked for bad sectors. The result is the / is clean. But no next step, the previous installed & configured X system is not able to start. I am able switch to the next consoles & log in, the character based Ubuntu is working but the X server does not work.
