We're not 100% sure what fixes are required but it looks like it will require fixes in the kernel AND bluez AND pulseaudio. The first two are included in Ubuntu 20.10 already, but that's not enough to fix this bug.
If you want to track the main work outstanding then please look at: https://gitlab.freedesktop.org/pulseaudio/pulseaudio/-/issues/776 https://gitlab.freedesktop.org/pulseaudio/pulseaudio/-/merge_requests/227 https://gitlab.freedesktop.org/pulseaudio/pulseaudio/-/merge_requests/254 https://gitlab.freedesktop.org/pulseaudio/pulseaudio/-/merge_requests/288 It seems the PulseAudio developers are targeting future version 15. That will take a while because even version 14 isn't released yet. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1838151 Title: Poor quality audio with modern Bluetooth headsets in HSP/HFP.
