I am the person who wrote the post on the Dell forums Vladimir is referring to (and I have posted earlier here as above). Note that adding i915.enable_dp_mst=0 doesn't just "sometimes resolve" the very frequent blackouts, disconnects, and other problems I was seeing with my WD19TB dock + XPS 13 9300, it completely resolves all of them!
