Hello and thanks for your bug report. The main error here seems to be:

[ERROR] [MY-010262] [Server] Can't start server: Bind on TCP/IP port:
Address already in use

which is likely to be caused by a instance of mysqld not running under
control of the service init system (systemd). Killing it (or restarting
the system) should solve the problem and let the upgrade finish
successfully.

In order to tell if this problem is actually a bug and not a problem
specific to your system we need to understand how the "stray" mysqld was
started. If you tried to manually start the daemon by calling `mysqld`
instead of using systemctl (or one of its wrappers) then that's the
reason. Could you please let us know if that's the case?
