The problem is that the current Groovy *iso files contain a GPT*. This
is independent of what you have in the internal drive.

Also, please notice that those old HP computers are willing to boot via
grub in GPT in drives connected via SATA (or eSATA). The bug affects
boot drives connected via USB.
