Sorry to hear that...
The day my headset all of a sudden started working, ie. 2020-09-16, it happened 
right after my dayly sudo apt-get update...

Must have been another package that dealt with it...
As a matter a fact, the linux kernel update took place on 2020-09-01...
Must have been distracted
