Thanks for your forebearance. Can you please test http://cdimage.ubuntu.com/ubuntu/daily-live/20200915.3/ ? I have boot tested this under KVM with both BIOS and UEFI, and both as a CD-ROM and a hard drive, and it has booted successfully for me here.
If there are any problems with this image, I think they are most likely to happen with older or esoteric UEFI implementations; so some targeted testing there would be helpful.
